Please be aware of fraudulent emails being sent from an address that appears to be associated with NetTeller with the subject line “NetTeller Watch Notice.” The content of the email references an initiated ACH Batch and confirmation number. At the bottom of the email the recipient is instructed to click on a link for more details. It is suspected that the link contained within the email may redirect the recipient to a fake website or download harmful malware onto the recipient’s computer. Should you receive this email, please do not click on any links and immediately delete this email from your inbox and deleted items.
Please note that these fraudulent emails are not associated with or sent by Meredith Village Savings Bank or NetTeller. You will only receive automated email notifications from MVSB if you have enrolled in eStatements or if you have set up custom alerts. Should you receive an email that matches the description above, do not click on any images or links within the email and immediately delete the email from both your inbox and deleted items. We recommend accessing your Online Banking directly from our website (www.mvsb.com) or using our mobile app. Please contact us if you are unsure if an email you have received is associated with your MVSB accounts or NetTeller Online Banking.
If you received a suspicious, unsolicited email and clicked on a link, please notify MVSB as soon as possible. Be sure that you immediately run a virus, spyware and malware scan on your PC. Do not enter any confidential information on your computer until you are sure it is safe to do so. You may want to consult a computer security professional for assistance.
