Spooky Chills and Thrills Top the List of MVSB’s October Book of the Month Program

MVSB Fund Grant Applications due October 15
We will be accepting applications for grants through the MVSB Fund through October 15, 2012. Established in 1997, the fund awards grants annually to local nonprofits that make a significant impact upon the communities the bank serves. Since its inception, 216 grants totaling more than $796,000 have been awarded to a wide range of environmental, social, educational, and historic projects throughout the Lakes Region and Plymouth area. Deadline for Switch to Electronic Federal Benefit Payments is Less Than 6 Months Away
In less than 6 months, the U.S. Department of the Treasury will require millions of federal benefit recipients who currently receive paper checks to switch to an electronic payment method. By March 1, 2013, all federal benefit payments will be electronic. Individuals applying for benefits must now choose an electronic payment option – such as direct deposit to their bank account – at the time they apply for the benefit. Individuals who currently receive paper benefit checks must switch to an electronic payment option by March 1, 2013. Expected Service Interruption for NetTeller Online Banking Friday, August 17
In order to allow us to perform regular system maintenance, a service interruption is expected for NetTeller Online Banking on Friday, August 17. Access to NetTeller Online Banking will be intermittent starting at 8:30 pm Friday evening. During this time, customers will be unable to access some or all portions of NetTeller Online Banking. We expect NetTeller Online Banking to be fully functional at 6:00 AM on Saturday morning. If you have any questions, please contact us in the way that is most convenient.

MVSB cares about the security of your accounts. We have recently learned of an increased volume of debit card fraud originating from foreign countries.
