The relaxing days of summer offer the perfect time to read a book and thank our local libraries for all they do to share and promote the love of reading in our communities. The MVSB Book of the Month program seeks to help libraries foster their mission to encourage lifelong reading for all ages by donating funds to support their Book of the Month picks.
The following July Books of the Month are available at these local libraries for checkout:
At the Moultonborough Public Library you can pick up And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini; The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown; and, The Spy Who Loved: The Secrets and Lives of Christine Granville by Clare Mulley.
In New Hampton at the Gordon-Nash Library this month’s reading includes My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece: A Novel by Annabel Pitcher and Charley’s First Night by Amy Hest.
At the Meredith Library don’t miss their large print picks this month: The Yellow Packard: A Novel by Ace Collins; A Step of Faith by Richard Paul Evans; and, A Bat in the Belfryby Sarah Graves.
The Ashland Town Library located on Main Street in Ashland is featuring 2 books in July;Old Country Stores of New Hampshire by Bruce Heald and Escape from Camp 14: One Man’s Remarkable Odyssey from North Korea to Freedom in the West by Blaine Harden.
On the other side of the lake, the Gilford Public Library has chosen Looking for Me by Beth Hoffman as its book for the month of July. test
