Offices Closing Early Monday, March 4th for Employee Recognition Dinner
We will be closing offices early on Monday, March 4th to give all of our employees the opportunity to attend MVSB’s Annual Employee Recognition Dinner. This is a very special annual event at which we honor the dedicated service and hard work our employees give all year long. Most offices (lobbies and drive-ups) will close at 4:00 pm: Alton, Wolfeboro, Laconia, Gilford, Center Harbor, Moultonborough Corner, Ashland, Plymouth Hannaford and Plymouth Main Street. $4,140 Donated to Genesis Behavioral Health
We are pleased to announce a $4,140 donation to Genesis Behavioral Health of Laconia and Plymouth. As part of our commitment to assisting non-profit agencies in the communities that we serve, MVSB matched all 2013 employee contributions to the Lakes Region United Way dollar-for-dollar. Please be aware of a recent increase in Adware activity that claims to be associated with financial sites. Adware is advertising-supported software that, when downloaded, allows unsolicited pop-ups or other advertisements to appear on the affected computer. The pop-up advertisements claim to be associated with a site the user is currently visiting in an attempt to convince the user to purchase a product or service, such as credit monitoring. More About Surcharges Businesses May Now Request When You Purchase Via Credit Card
Following a recent court settlement between U.S. merchants and the payment industry, effective January 27, 2013 merchants in certain states, including New Hampshire, are now permitted to charge an additional checkout fee when purchases are made using a Mastercard or Visa credit card.
