We are pleased to announce a $3,795 donation to Lakes Region Humane Society (LRHS) of Ossipee. As part of MVSB’s commitment to assisting non-profit agencies in the communities it serves, the Bank agreed to match all 2014 employee contributions to the Lakes Region United Way. $37,950 in matched funds were distributed evenly to 10 deserving non-profit agencies selected by MVSB employee vote.
“We are so appreciative of this unexpected contribution from Meredith Village Savings Bank,” said Megan Fichter, Managing Director for the Lakes Region Humane Society. “It is with the generosity and support of our local communities that we are able to continue to provide a safe place and quality care for animals in need across the Lakes Region.”
The Lakes Region Humane Society serves the communities of the Lakes Region by providing a compassionate haven for animals in need. The organization is dedicated to the loving care of abused, unwanted, and lost pets. LRHS respects all animals, and euthanasia is never used as a means of population control. Their mission is to care for abused and abandoned animals until they can be adopted, and to promote the health and welfare of domestic animals through community outreach and education.
