We are proud to support the New Hampshire Humane Society (NHHS) as a Silver Paw Sponsor for the organization’s annual “Paws for a Cause” comedy night and auction fundraising event.
Attendees will enjoy an evening of heavy hors d’oeurvres, entertainment and laughter on Thursday, August 7 from 6pm to 9pm at Church Landing in Meredith. In addition to the comedy show featuring the Cristine Hurley and Paul Gilligan, two up-and-coming New England based comedians, there will be many wonderful auction items to bid on, including diamond and sapphire ear rings, Red Sox and Patriots memorabilia, a GoPro Camera, a vacation package to Ireland, sculpture, art, pet related items and many unusual and whimsical pieces.
“Wonderful support from local businesses, like Meredith Village Savings Bank, is essential to the success of our fundraisers,” said Marylee Gorham-Waterman, Managing Director at the New Hampshire Humane Society. “We cannot tell you how much this contribution means to the 1,300 animals we care for each year at New Hampshire Humane Society.”
Tickets for the event are $65 per person and can be purchased online at www.nhhumane.org, via phone at 603-524-3252 x301, or at the New Hampshire Humane Society, located at 1305 Meredith Center Road in Laconia.
New Hampshire Humane Society has long been a forward thinking agency in terms of community outreach initiatives. Pet Therapy, Internships, Pet Food Pantry and a vibrant volunteer service program have been mission accomplishments since the new building was unveiled in 2006. As a private stand alone non-profit charitable organization, NHHS relies on the support of individuals and businesses aligned with the Society’s basic tenets, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. No animal is euthanized for time or space restrictions, rather all are assured care and comfort until adoption – no matter how long the wait might be.
