We are excited to announce the winners of the Annual Community Photo Contest. The winning photos will appear on the Bank’s website and Facebook pages, as well as within the 2015 wall and desktop calendars and even as the Bank’s note and holiday cards. The calendars will be available free of charge to members of the local community at any of the Bank’s 11 local branches beginning in the early fall of 2014.
The Bank received almost 200 individual submissions from approximately 50 local and visiting photographers for this year’s contest, making narrowing down the selection to 12 photos for the calendars and 20 photos for the website quite a challenge.
This year’s winners include:
- Bonita Carnivale of Gilford
- Joanna DeCesare of Gilford
- Gerry Fagon of Laconia
- Susan Francesco of Holderness
- Ida Gould of Campton
- Dan Hanson of Alton Bay
- Christina Kolb of Gilford
- Elizabeth Morin of Moultonborough
- Bob Ness of Wolfeboro
- Al Posnack of Alton Bay
- Christine Randall of Ashland
- Dan Robusto of Meredith
- Deborah Teal-Fries of Waterville Valley
- John White of Rye
“We always have such a wonderful response for this contest,” noted Cindy Hemeon-Plessner, Senior Vice President and Marketing Officer at MVSB. “Every year we receive amazing photos that capture the unique character of central New Hampshire and the Lakes Region. This is a great way to celebrate the communities we serve and provides us the opportunity to highlight the artistic work of some very talented people.”
The Bank expects to begin accepting photo entries for next year’s contest on Monday, March 2, 2015 with a final deadline for submissions of Friday, May 29, 2015. Photo entries should have a strong focus on community events and people enjoying the variety of venues, attractions and local businesses the Lakes Region has to offer year round. Winners of the Print Contest may have their photos presented on the Community Calendar, the Desktop Tent Calendar, on the Bank’s note cards or holiday card. Winners of the Web Contest will have their photos displayed on the Bank’s website and/or Facebook page.
