Meredith Village Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Wendy Vittum to Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Underwriting and Processing. In this role, Vittum will continue to manage a team of employees that handle the processing, underwriting, closing and quality control of residential mortgage applications.
“Wendy’s knowledge and eagerness to stay abreast to the frequently changing rules of processing and underwriting have led her to quickly take on a leadership role in these areas for the Bank,” said Carol Bickford, Senior Vice President Officer. “We are excited to promote her to this well-deserved management level.”
Wendy began her career with Meredith Village Savings Bank in 2005 as a mortgage processor, bringing with her seven years of experience in the lending industry as a mortgage credit analyst. She was promoted to Secondary Market Sales and Pre-Closing in October of that year. In 2007, Wendy took on a management role as Assistant Loan Processing Supervisor and was quickly promoted to Loan Processing Manager later that year. She most recently has served as the Bank’s Underwriting and Processing Manager since 2010.
Wendy is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking and holds certification from Freddie Mac in “The Power of Strong Underwriting.” An active member of the Lakes Region community, Wendy volunteers her time with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Merrimack County Savings Bank Rock n’ Race benefitting Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer.
