AB Acquisitions LLC, operator of Albertson’s LLC and ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, and Shaw’s and Star Markets has confirmed that a data breach into their network has occurred and that sensitive information such as debit and credit card numbers may have been targeted.
While no fraud has been linked to this compromise or reported, we are taking a proactive step by reissuing cards used at these retailers between June 20, 2014 and July 23, 2014
If your debit card was used at one of these merchants during the specified time frame you can expect to receive a new debit card and PIN within the next few weeks. Proactive phone calls will be placed to all affected customers and follow-up letters will be sent detailing any card restrictions or limitations. As we begin to learn more about the breach you may receive additional notification regarding your debit card(s).
We will be monitoring our debit cards closely and will notify you directly of any unusual activity. We also encourage you to monitor your accounts using online, mobile or phone banking and to notify us immediately of any transactions that are not authorized by you.
