A series of small business seminars in Laconia and Plymouth will begin in early October. Each series includes eight (8) two-hour seminars aimed at small business owners who wish to build and grow their businesses. The series is being managed by the Enterprise Center at Plymouth and sponsored by MVSB.
The seminars will be taught by Plymouth State University professors, area professionals and counselors for NH Small Business Development. Each instructor will provide unique insight solutions for small business challenges. Interested attendees are welcome to attend the entire series or select those topics that best fit their current needs. Thanks to sponsorship from MVSB, the classes are being offered at no cost to attendees, but space is limited and advanced registration is recommended.
The Laconia seminar series will be held on the following dates between 8:00am and 10:00am at the Taylor Community, located at 435 Union Avenue:

The first seminar in the Laconia Series, “Start and Grow Your Small Business”, will focus on small business planning, management, finance, and resources that help prospective business owners discover why they are the right person for a small business venture. This seminar, taught by Michael Tentnowski, Director of the Enterprise Center at Plymouth, has been so popular and well received by attendees that it will be offered twice in each location. Meredith Village Savings Bank’s Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer Gracie Cilley and Vice President and Business Development Officer Marcus Weeks will also be on hand to answer any questions attendees may have about solutions for your business.

The first seminar in the Plymouth Series, “The 5 C’s of Credit”, will help current and prospective business owners understand the factors that lenders assess when evaluating a commercial loan application. The class will be taught by Michael Tentnowski, Director of the Enterprise Center at Plymouth. MVSB’s Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer Brian Chalmers will be available at the seminar to answer attendees’ questions about the lending process.
