Recent media reports have raised awareness about the Heartbleed Bug.  Heartbleed  is a flaw in the programming on secure websites that could put your personal information at risk, including passwords, credit and debit card information and email addresses. The American Bankers Association created this FAQ to assist in answering questions. We are pleased to announce the April selections for the MVSB Book of the Month Program from our ten local libraries. The MVSB Book of the Month program seeks to foster the joy of reading and lifelong learning for people of all ages. MVSB donates funds to allow local libraries to purchase and promote books for adults and children. MVSB’s recent donation of $2500 to Inter-Lakes Elementary School’s (ILES) Living Classroom greenhouse project has put the school even closer to its fundraising goal of $65,000. We are happy to announce the promotion of Kristy Badger to Business Development, Administration and Support and to welcome Jenifer Williams, who will serve as Assistant Vice President, Branch and Business Development Officer at the Moultonborough Office. The American Bankers Association has issued an alert regarding a phishing scam aimed at Netflix customers. Victims have received an email appearing to be from Netflix stating that there is a problem with their account and they are encouraged to click on the link provided. Once clicked, they are directed to a fictitious Netflix website and are told that their account has been suspended  and they should contact member services. Once connected, victims are told that their Netflix account has been hijacked and that by downloading a series of security software, the problem can be fixed.
