The Barley House, a popular restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike in downtown Concord, opened its second location on 43 Lafayette Road at the Lafayette Crossing Plaza in North Hampton, NH. With financing help provided by MVSB, Brian Shea, The Barley House owner, is confident the North Hampton site will be able to capitalize on the 15 years of success currently enjoyed by its flagship location.
Shea worked closely with Gracie Cilley, Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer at MVSB, to purchase and remodel the North Hampton restaurant. Despite its need for restoration and renovation, Shea saw immediate potential. “The soft opening of The Barley House, North Hampton has been well-received. I’m excited to be able to offer the Seacoast what so many in Concord have enjoyed these last 15 years.” said Shea. “When it came to navigating the commercial purchase and lending process, we really appreciated the personal time and attention from Gracie.”
Marcus Weeks, Vice President Business Development at MVSB worked with Shea on business deposits for the restaurant. “The bank’s cash management tools make it easy for us to bank remotely,” added Shea. “Marcus and his team were responsive and excellent at getting us set up. Working with MVSB helped me remain present and focused on the challenges that are inevitable with major renovations. I don’t think our success would be possible without the hassle-free relationships I experienced with them.”
The Barley House has been Concord’s choice for fine food, excellent service and freshly crafted beer for the past 15 years. For more information about the restaurant and its new North Hampton location, visit www.thebarleyhouse.com.
