There will soon be some added conveniences when you wish to transfer funds using online banking.
The Schedule a Transfer feature in online banking, which you can use to schedule transfers between your MVSB accounts, will be updated the evening of August 16th. Following the upgrade, you will notice a new, simplified look when you access this page from the Move Money menu that is more consistent with the appearance of the many other services in online banking.
After the upgrade takes place, all pages involved with transferring money between your MVSB accounts, including the Schedule a Transfer page, will include the option to select a transfer date as well as a Repeat checkbox.
- To make a one-time immediate transfer, leave the date field as it defaults – the field will automatically populate with the current date and any one-time transfers will be sent immediately.
- To schedule a one-time transfer for a future date, simply select the date you would like the transfer to be made.
- To schedule a recurring/repeated transfer to occur on a schedule you set, check the Repeat box. Additional options will appear allowing you to select the date or day you would like the transfer to be made, the frequency you would like the transfer to occur, and when you would like your recurring transfer to stop. Please note: You are not able to schedule a recurring transfer to begin on the same day that you set it up, as it will not process until the following day. If you wish to transfer funds immediately, please uncheck the Repeat box and choose today’s date. You can then set up a recurring transfer to begin with the next planned transfer date.
You will use the View Scheduled Transfers menu option to view or delete scheduled and recurring transfers. In addition, the upgrade will not impact existing scheduled or recurring transfers that you’ve already set up, provided the existing transfers do not include accounts that you have opted to “hide” from your view. Transfer functionality will not work for any account you’ve opted to hide from view in online banking. If you wish to use an account you’ve previously hidden, you can do so by updating your Rename & Hide Your Accounts preferences located within My Settings.
The upgrade will also include more detail in the email notifications you receive regarding the status of your scheduled and recurring transfers. In order to keep you informed, the system will contact you at the email you have listed within My Settings in online banking. Please make sure you have a valid email listed in My Settings so you receive these important notifications.
