On Thursday, August 25, Apple released an important software update for iOS 9.3.5 that patches recently identified vulnerabilities that have put iPhone and iPad devices at high risk for malware. The patch aims to protect users from a new malware, referred to as “Trident” that allows attackers to see almost everything on the victim’s device, including reading text messages, recording calls, turning on the phone’s camera and microphone and tracking your location. Each year, one graduating high school student from seven communities in which MVSB has an office is selected to receive a grant from the Sutherland Memorial Scholarship. We are pleased to announce that John Nesteruk and Kaitlyn Sasseville each received MVSB’s Culinary Arts Center Scholarship for 2016. Nesteruk and Sasseville are recent graduates of the Huot Regional Technical Center/MVSB Culinary Arts Program as well as graduates of Franklin High School and Gilford High School respectively. Nesteruk and Sasseville both plan to study culinary arts in the fall. Nesteruk will be attending Lakes Region Community College and Sasseville will be attending Southern New Hampshire University. Meredith Village Savings Bank and the Common Man Family of Restaurants recently purchased $65,593 in combined tax credits from the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSCC) through the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) of New Hampshire’s tax credit program.
