Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) and Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack) wish to thank the members of the community who donated cold weather items, such as hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for the recent annual Mitten Tree drive. Over 2,000 pieces were collected and distributed to local schools and non-profits. In keeping with the tradition of donating $2 for each item given, over $4000 was donated by the two banks to the NH Food Bank for use at food pantries in the Lakes Region, Concord and Nashua areas.
“The Mitten Tree is a true holiday tradition we have been proud to uphold each year,” said Philip Emma, President of the Merrimack. “It’s an honor to support the NH Food Bank, who help so many families in our communities, especially during these cold winter months,” added Rick Wyman, President of MVSB.
