Established in 1997, under the leadership of John Starrett, then President and CEO of the Bank, the MVSB Fund makes grant-based contributions to non-profit organizations that enrich and improve the quality of life for residents living in the Bank’s service areas. Since its inception, 351 grants totaling $1,410,867 have been awarded to a wide range of environmental, social, educational and historic projects throughout the Greater Lakes Region, Plymouth and NH Seacoast areas. James D. Sutherland Memorial Scholarship Recipients Announced
Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the James D. Sutherland Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior from high schools located in towns where MVSB has a branch: Plymouth Regional High School, Moultonborough Academy, Inter-Lakes High School, Kingswood Regional High School, Laconia High School, Prospect Mountain High School and Gilford High School. It Takes a Village: Meredith Installs New Welcome Signs
Thanks to funding from Meredith Village Savings Bank, Meredith now has new “Welcome to Meredith Signs.” These town welcome signs were recently placed at the four main entrances into Meredith – on Route 104, Route 3 North and South and Route 25. The Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce oversaw and managed the project, which was done in commemoration of the town’s 250th anniversary this year. Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra Wins MVSB’s Best Nonprofit Contest
Locals and residents of Portsmouth, NH recently chose Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra as their favorite nonprofit in the “Vote for your Favorite Nonprofit” contest. Hosted by Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB), the contest took place between April and June, and asked Portsmouth community members to vote for the charitable organization that enriches their city the most.
