We are pleased to name Cynthia “Cindy” Hemeon-Plessner as our first Chief Marketing and Experience Officer. In this role, Hemeon-Plessner will continue lead marketing, communications, community engagement and customer experience efforts for the Bank. In addition, she will continue her role as senior vice president working with other members of bank leadership to develop and implement bank strategy.
“Cindy has been an invaluable member of the Marketing and Senior Leadership teams at MVSB for many years and has been a champion of service in our communities,” said Rick Wyman, MVSB President. “We are pleased to recognize her successful marketing leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to our values with this well-deserved promotion.”

Hemeon-Plessner joined MVSB as Electronic Marketing Coordinator in December 2006, bringing more than a decade of sales and marketing experience. She was instrumental in the launch of the Bank’s website and was promoted to Special Projects Coordinator in January 2008. She was promoted to Marketing Officer in November 2008, Assistant Vice President in October of 2009, Vice President in August 2010 and Senior Vice President in 2014. In her most recent role, Hemeon-Plessner served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB), MVSB’s shared services organization.
Hemeon-Plessner is proud to be local to the Lakes Region. She was born in Laconia, and attended Laconia schools including graduating from Laconia High School. Hemeon-Plessner earned a BA in Political Science and English Literature from The George Washington University. After being selected as a Corps Member for Teach for American and teaching in Los Angeles and Houston, she returned to the granite state and completed the graduate program in elementary education at Franklin Pierce University. She is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and The Wharton School Aresty Institute of Executive Education Leadership Program, the Data & Analytics Program at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. In addition, she is an alumni of Leadership Lakes Region and Leadership New Hampshire as well as the Deluxe Collaborative, a multi-year program of bankers chosen from throughout the country working together to investigate challenges in providing banking services.
Hemeon-Plessner has been active in supporting community organizations for decades. Currently she is the secretary of the Board of the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction, heads their governance committee and is long-standing member of the grant review and communications committees. She is the secretary of the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region Endowment Advisory Board, a Corporator at BelknapEDC, a trustee of the MVSB Sutherland Scholarship Program, a member of the Gilford Neighbors Advisory Board and a member of the American Bankers Association Data & Analytics Advisory Board. In 2019, she was recognized a central region Volunteer of the Year by the Granite United Way and she currently serves on their central region Community Impact Committee. She also volunteers as an alumni interviewer for applicants of Leadership New Hampshire and the St Paul’s School Advanced Studies Program.
