MVSB Purchases $90,000 in Tax Credits to Support Nonprofit Capacity Building throughout the State
We are proud to continue to demonstrate our strong commitment to New Hampshire nonprofits by supporting the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) Capacity Building Program with the purchase of $90,000 in tax credits. The contribution will strengthen nonprofit organizations throughout New Hampshire, enabling them to create innovative, community-led economic development and infrastructure projects in the future. In the latest scheme, scammers are contacting businesses posing as an employee looking to change their direct deposit account information. Once a change is made, the employee’s payroll is diverted to a fraudulent account. The Belmont Early Learning Center recently purchased some new playground equipment with a $1,000 sponsorship provided by MVSB. Celebrate Laconia is set to continue its downtown Laconia banner project with the assistance of a $5,000 sponsorship from MVSB. Recently, thirteen banners were installed on light posts featuring artwork from Laconia High School students in Alison Withum’s Art Class. The MVSB Fraud Team has reported an increase in Facebook Marketplace scams involving money transfer apps. When selling items online, it’s important to be on the lookout for scams so you don’t fall victim. In the latest Marketplace scam, a fraudster pretends to be an interested buyer for an item and comes to an agreement with the seller to purchase the item. MVSB is excited to announce that its newest branch office at 21 Farmington Road (Route 11) in Rochester is now open.
