Beware of Fake Calls and Texts from the Bank
Customers from local banks and credit unions have reported that they are receiving calls and text messages from criminal fraudsters who claim to be reaching out from the bank. The scammer will often claim to be from the bank or the bank’s fraud center and indicate that there are potentially fraudulent transactions on their account and that they need to verify the transactions. MVSB Continues Support of Meredith Veterans Memorial Capital Campaign with $25,000 Donation
We are proud to once again support Humble Grunt Work and their capital campaign to build a new Meredith Veterans Memorial. MVSB made an initial $25,000 donation to the project in early 2022 and recently matched that for a total of $50,000. The monument will be situated on the front lawn of the recently renovated Meredith Public Library and will feature the names of all Meredith residents who honorably served throughout all of the nation’s conflicts since the Revolutionary War. MVSB Collects 1,900 Cold-Weather Items, Donates $3,850 to Local Childcare Organizations through Mitten Tree Drive
We were proud to have collected and donated more than 1,900 mittens, hats, gloves and scarves during the 2022 MVSB annual Mitten Tree Drive. In addition, MVSB presented a $2 donation match for each item collected for a total of $3,850 split between 11 local childcare organizations throughout the Bank’s footprint. MVSB has held its annual Mitten Tree Drive each winter since 1979. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Bank collects cold-weather item donations at every MVSB branch location.
