When you add your debit card to your mobile wallet, a virtual account number is assigned for added protection. This means your actual debit card number is not stored on your device and the merchant you purchase from doesn’t have access to it. Once enrolled, you’ll make purchases using your fingerprint, Face ID or passcode, depending on your phone and settings.
