Denise Hubbard, MVSB Vice President & Mortgage Loan Program Officer, NMLS# 47515, was surprised with a special honor as the inaugural recipient of the Ignatius MacLellan Advocacy Award by New Hampshire Housing during the Homeownership Lender Fest meeting this past fall in Hampton. Joined by her colleagues from MVSB, the meeting erupted in cheers and applause for Denise when her name was announced by Matthew Gallant, Senior Manager of Business Development for New Hampshire Housing.
The Ignatius MacLellan Advocacy Award was formed to highlight a leader who strongly supports buyers and programs related to first-time home ownership. In 2022, Ignatius MacLellan was named Managing Director of New Hampshire Housing’s Management and Development (multi-family housing) Division. Prior to that, he served as the lead of New Hampshire Housing’s Homeownership Division for 10 years.
“It was a great day of celebration and no one is more deserving of this award than Denise, who has gone above and beyond for the hundreds of first-time home buyers she has worked with through her 40-year career in mortgage lending,” said Charlie Dowd, Vice President of Residential Mortgage Sales, NMLS#: 737415. “She has worked closely with New Hampshire Housing and has been a proud advocate for their programs, which gives a leg-up to those looking to fulfill the dream of home ownership.”
Denise has been ranked a Top Originator with NH Housing for many years, most recently receiving the Platinum Level Loan Originator Award in 2022 and 2020 and Gold Level in 2021. She also participated in a statewide housing needs assessment through the Lender & Real Estate Advisory Groups with the organization and she volunteers as an educator for first-time homebuyer classes through the NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire’s HOMEteam program.
Denise joined MVSB in 2009 as a Reverse Mortgage Specialist and was promoted to Mortgage Loan Program Specialist in 2011. She was promoted to Vice President & Mortgage Loan Program Officer in 2023.
