Jaron Jenkins, Marketing Communications Manager is highly regarded for his exceptional skill highlighting the strong relationships MVSB and its employees have built with local people, businesses, and nonprofits – and he extends that talent through a personal passion for supporting the work of nonprofits in his communities.
MVSB has been a significant supporter of the Greater Lakes Region Charitable Fund for Children (the Children’s Auction) since its inception. Through a variety of events and fundraisers, including their annual auction, the organization raises hundreds of thousands of dollars annually, which are granted to nonprofit organizations and programs supporting greater lakes region children and families in need. Shortly after Jaron joined MVSB in 2021, he was invited to serve as a board member in large part due to his experience in communications and their need for expertise in this area. Jaron currently serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors and is leading a complex rebranding initiative as a member of the organizations Communications Committee.
In addition to these formal roles, he has been a right-hand to the organization’s Executive Director, Jennifer Kelley who shared that “Jaron’s creativity and dedication have significantly enhanced our outreach and engagement with the community. His efforts in crafting compelling content and maintaining an active online presence have not only raised awareness about our initiatives but also fostered a sense of community among our supporters. His commitment to effective communication is invaluable to our mission.”
Jaron has worked closely with Children’s Auction leadership team and their local creative agency this past year to overhaul the organization’s website. This involved simplifying content to ensure clarity for donors, event participants and volunteers, and adding his photography from past events to illustrate the incredible energy at Children’s Auction events and it’s resulting impact on their fundraising efforts and the community. He’s also worked to improve social media engagement for the organization by including more video and photography and promoting fundraising events.
Kelley went on to share that “His expertise is incredible and we lean on him for his marketing skill. He spends many hours doing the photography of our events to document our history and showcase the hard work of our volunteers and the enjoyment of our attendees and fund recipients. The Greater Lakes Region Charitable Fund for Children would not be where we are today without his efforts.”
Jaron was introduced to the Children’s Auction through the Bank and recalls finding true passion for the cause at the Auction’s follow-up event that brings together all of the organizations that benefit from their efforts. And while he’s not one to seek out praise for his efforts, the Children’s Auction proudly created and awarded him the Social Media Superstar Award in 2024.
In addition to his tremendous work with the auction, Jaron is a graduate of Leadership Lakes Region, a program dedicated to community improvement by developing, expanding, promoting and putting in place a network of effective volunteer leaders with a variety of skills and interests. He has also offered volunteer support to the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce and the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce.
At MVSB, caring is at the heart of everything we do – and Jaron embodies that spirit in all of his work with the Bank, in his community, and in all aspects of his life. His unwavering commitment to bringing value and attention to the local people, business and nonprofit organizations that make living and doing business in New Hampshire special is truly exceptional and admirable.
