Our Place NH‘s mission is to provide residential options, services and support designed to meet the needs of adults with intellectual developmental disabilities. The Dover-based nonprofit recently purchased its first property in August that will establish supportive housing for their clients. We are proud to support the renovation of the property with the purchase $10,000 in tax credits through the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA). Our Place NH still has $61,000 in tax credits to offer to New Hampshire business owners.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have this new location that will ultimately provide independent living for up to 12 adults with developmental disabilities, but there still is a lot of planning, renovation and construction we need to do to have it fit our needs,” said Anna Boudreau, Our Place NH Executive Director. “We would like to thank community partners like MVSB for supporting us at this critical phase so that we can continue to work towards addressing housing issues in this region, especially for those who may need a little more assistance day-to-day.”
“We are committed to doing our part to ensure everyone in our communities has a safe and affordable place to live,” said Angela Salb, MVSB VP Commercial Lending Team Leader. “Our Place NH is a wonderful nonprofit that has been working tirelessly to foster growth and bring independence to adults with developmental disabilities in our communities. We hope other businesses and community organizations join us in supporting their important work.”
Our Place NH’s goal is to proactively address an orderly transition of care for adults with developmental disabilities from their aging parents to a stable, reliable and caring environment. The organization provides each individual with surroundings that are conducive to long term friendships and a sense of wellbeing and self-worth. Go to ourplacenh.org to learn more.
