This summer, Alyssa Richard came across a job posting for the Bank Teller Apprenticeship Program for MVSB. Shortly after applying, she was selected for the program and began shadowing as a Teller Apprentice in the Bank’s Laconia office. Three area nonprofits are working together to host the second annual Thanksgiving distribution event that raised nearly $20,000 and benefited more than 1,000 local families last year. Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, SHARE Fund and Grace Community Church are partnering to seek the public’s support to ensure a memorable holiday for recipients. Local Bank and community partner MVSB will match financial contributions received up to $11,500. The peak foliage made for breathtaking views at the Franconia Airport in the heart of the White Mountains. Lakes Region Community Developers (LRCD) and Lakes Region Mental Health Center (LRMHC) have joined forces to raise funds to furnish the new Bay Street Apartments in Laconia. The building is currently under construction with an anticipated completion in spring 2025 and will offer 12 efficiency units of housing for people of very low income who are experiencing or are at-risk of homelessness. We are proud to support this project with a $3,400 sponsorship that will furnish one of the new units.
