Beginning May 11, 2018, new federal regulation under the Bank Secrecy Act will require all financial institutions to identify and verify the identity of the Beneficial Owners of certain business customers, subject to exclusions, each time a new account is opened. In order to comply, MVSB will collect this information from covered legal entities on a Beneficial Ownership Certification Form before an account is opened. We would like to thank law enforcement for the incredible job they’ve done evaluating the details of today’s suspicious incident at the Main Office of our sister Bank, Merrimack County Savings Bank. Though our employees are well-trained on how to respond to unusual and possibly threatening events, it was reassuring to see how quickly and thoroughly law enforcement acted during the investigation. The Meredith Village Savings Bank Fund at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation granted $3,000 to the Aviation and Aerospace Educational Center at Winnipesaukee (WinnAero) of Gilford, NH, for its 2018 Aerospace Career Education (ACE) Academies.
