The MVSB Book of the Month program seeks to foster the joy of reading and lifelong learning for people of all ages. MVSB donates funds to allow local libraries to purchase and promote books for adults and children. Participating libraries each receive an annual $500 donation to purchase books each month to be displayed on their shelves as the MVSB Books of the Month. You may have heard in the media this week about a new security flaw discovered that affects many versions of the Internet Explorer browser, allowing hackers to take control of your computer if malware is deployed. This means that clicking on a bad link or email or visiting an infected site with the Internet Explorer browser, could put your computer at risk. MVSB employees recently chose Voices Against Violence as one of ten local non-profit agencies to receive a $3,795 donation.  As part of MVSB’s commitment to assisting non-profit agencies in the communities it serves, the Bank matched all 2014 employee contributions to the Lakes Region United Way campaign.
