Traveling to Canada? Call Us First.
MVSB cares about the security of your accounts. We have recently learned of an increased volume of debit card fraud originating from foreign countries. As such, we have slightly altered our policies regarding foreign debit card use. Going forward, any customer who wishes to use his debit card in Canada will need to notify the Bank in order to do so. This is the same process that we currently follow when customers travel to any other foreign country. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but keeping your accounts safe is our number one priority. If you have any […]
Traveling Internationally? Call Us First.
As you prepare for your summer vacation, we’d like to remind you that all MVSB debit cards are automatically blocked for international usage. We do this to protect you – our valuable customers – from debit and credit card fraud. These crimes are much more prevalent internationally than they are domestically, so we’ve taken this preventative measure to safeguard your account information. If you’re planning to travel to another country (excluding Canada), let us know before you leave. We would be happy to assist you in turning on your debit card for international usage. Here are some tips for protecting […]

We Celebrated Teach Children to Save Day – Tuesday April 24
Tuesday, April 24 was Teach Children to Save Day! MVSB celebrated by inviting parents to bring their children into their local MVSB office to have Pick Pigs™ – a story about saving, sharing and spending – read to them by the office managers at each of the Bank’s 11 locations. Across all of our branch offices, MVSB office managers read the story to more than 50 children. Pick Pigs™ is geared toward children ages 3-7. In the story, Julia learns examples of saving, sharing and spending from friends, neighbors and family members. She then picks which of her three Pick […]
Alert: Global Payments, Inc. Breach Compromises 1.5 Million Payment Cards
Global Payments, Inc., a payment card processor, has identified and reported the unauthorized access into a portion of their North American processing system. According to the company, a preliminary investigation has shown that the unauthorized access has exposed Track 2 magnetic stripe data for less than 1.5 million payment cards. Track 2 typically includes card-specific information, such as the unique 16-digit card number and card expiration date. It is not believed that affected consumers’ names, addresses and social security numbers have been exposed. We have received notification that a small number of Meredith Village Savings Bank debit cards have been […]
